THE PRAYER JESUS GAVE US

TRADITIONAL

Our Father
who art in heaven
hallowed by thy name.
Thy kingdom come;
thy will be done,
on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day
our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses (debts)
as we forgive those who trespass against us (our debtors).
Lead us not into temptation,
but deliver us from evil.
CONTEMPORARY

Our Father in heaven,
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
your will be done,
on earth as in heaven.
Give us today our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins
as we forgive those who sin against us.
Lead us not into temptation
but deliver us from evil.
MY VERSION FOR TODAY

Our loving Creator
Who in glory is above us.
Who in compassion is with us.
Who in humbleness is in us.
May your realm come where just peace is known and shared here and now.
Give us each day the things we need to live and grow and become the people you created us to be.
Forgive our wrong doings as we forgive those who wrong us.
Be our strength and endurance within challenging times, and never, ever, let us go.
(Doxology)
For thine is the kingdom,
the power and the glory,
for ever and ever.
Amen.
(Doxology)
For the kingdom, the power,
and the glory are yours
now and for ever.
Amen.
(Doxology)
For you are the Holy One, the Almighty and Immortal One, in glory everlasting.
Amen.
