O God, open my lips.
And my mouth will declare your praise.
Make haste, O God, to deliver me;
make haste to help me, O God.

Glory be to the Creator,
and to the Redeeming One,
and to the Holy Presence here.
As it was in the beginning,
is now and ever shall be;
world without end. Amen.

O God, on the holy mount you revealed to chosen witnesses
your Beloved One, wonderfully transfigured, in raiment
radiantly splendid: Mercifully grant that we,
being delivered from the chaos and disquietude of this world,
may by faith behold the Holy Anointed One in full beauty;
who with you, O Holy, Mighty, and Immortal One,
who in Spirit lives and reigns, one God, for ever and ever.

Matthew Chapter 17. 1-8
Six days later, Yeshua (Jesus) took Kefa (Peter), Ya‘akov (John) and his brother Yochanan (James) and led them up a high mountain privately. 2 As they watched, he began to change form — his face shone like the sun, and his clothing became as [bright] as light. 3 Then they looked and saw Moshe (Moses) and Eliyahu (Elijah) speaking with him. 4 Kefa said to Yeshua, “It’s good that we’re here. I’ll put up three shelters if you want — one for you, one for Moshe and one for Eliyahu.” 5 While he was still speaking, a bright cloud enveloped them; and a voice from the cloud said, “This is my [Child], whom I love, with whom I am well pleased. Listen to him!” 6 When the talmidim (followers) heard this, they were so frightened that they fell face down on the ground. 7 But Yeshua came and touched them. “Get up!” he said, “Don’t be afraid.” 8 So they opened their eyes, looked up and saw only Yeshua by himself.
