A BEAD AND A PRAYER—SADNESS, DEPRESSION, ANXIETY

PRAYERS

CROSS

O God, make haste to deliver me.
Make haste, O God, to help me.

INVITATORY

O God, open my lips
and my mouth will declare your praise.

TRINITY

«» Holy God, Holy and Almighty, Holy Immortal One: have mercy on me (us).
«» Holy God, Holy and Almighty, Holy Immortal One: have mercy on me (us).
«» Holy God, Holy and Almighty, Holy Immortal One: have mercy on me (us).

CRUCIFORM

The sun shall no longer be your light by day, nor for brightness shall the moon give light to you by night; but God will be your everlasting light, and your God will be your glory. Your sun shall no more go down, or your moon withdraw itself; for God will be your everlasting light, and your days of mourning shall be ended.

WEEKS

«» Like a deer, a doe, longing for streams of cool water, my whole being longs for you, my God. My soul aches with thirst for God, for a god that lives!
«» When can I go and see God face to face? My only food, day or night, is my tears; “Why so dispirited?” I ask myself. “Why so churned up inside?
«» To this I cling. "Hope in God!” I know I’ll praise God once again, for you are my Deliverance; you are my God.
«» This is why my heart despairs: I remember other days with you, days of joyful living. But, they seem to be no more
«» Every day, O God, you ordain your love toward me, and during the night you bring me your song. In my prayers to the God of my life, I say to God, my rock: “Why have you forgotten me?
«» Why do you keep me in mourning, oppressed by an unseen enemy?” “Why so dispirited?” I ask myself. “Why so churned up inside?
«» Hope in God!” I know I’ll praise God once again, for you are my Deliverance; you are my God.

TRINITY

«» You have turned my mourning into dancing; you have taken off my sackcloth and clothed me with joy, so that my soul may praise you and not be silent.
«» O God, my God, I will give thanks to you forever.
«» Day and night I will turn to you and find my peace.

INVITATORY

Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.

CROSS

Those who wait on God shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. For God alone my soul waits in silence, for my hope is from God. O people, hope in God; For with God there is mercy, and in God there is abundant redemption Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. And, we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance; and perseverance, character; and character, hope. Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us. Amen.
